36 Setups Wrapped Today!

Antigone stills from the set are going to be available over the next few days.

Today, we shot the epic climax that actually occurs within the time frame of the play, Antigone. The film covers key moments over the entire Oedipus series and the particular scene that we shot today will represent "real time" during the theatrical presentation. I won't give away what happens, but I posted a few stills of the crew on set to set the tone.

Below is Steven Bailey and my awesome wife, Phyllis Jackson, with the Crane and a few C-Stands.

Save The Date!

Antigone, the last segment in Sophocles Oedipus Series, is just a couple of weeks from being wrapped. The film will be screening at Anderson University with the Theatrical Presentation for an expected audience of 550 people over the course of 4 days in late January!Joshua Jackson Anderson University Antigone
I'm stoked about this film and really hope that it "catches on."
The film has been building anticipation in the area with the support of many of Anderson's local businesses and institutions. McGee's Irish Pub, Dead Horse Productions, LLC and Anderson University's Theatre Department has provide us with many of the fantastic shooting locations.

The film's Principal Photography is very near to being completed, having run a course of about 1.5 months. The offline editing and sound editing has already begun. We expect final picture changes to be settled around the first week of January with a final mix to 5.1 Surround by January 15th.
My beautiful wife, Phyllis Jackson, is directing the theatrical performance of Antigone.

A teaser trailer of Antigone is expected to be released at the turn of the year!

Be on the lookout!

Demo Reel Excerpt: Monologue

So, I figured I would put up a recent monologue that I sent as an audition submission for a few upcoming films. It's simple and it's an original piece.

The Cubicle Wraps!

Shua Jackson Jacob McArdle's The Cubicle wrapped this past weekend. This Super 16mm independent film revolves around a man who starts off high and, through an eye-opening experience, finds himself coming to grips with the "nature" of reality.
The cast and crew of The Cubicle were brilliant, professional and highly trained to take on the film under time and under budget. Director, Jacob McArdle, has a very distinct way of getting what he needs for a consistent vision, yet allowing the actors to really dig deep to discover new and unexpected choices on the set. Director of Photography,
Camp Sun, masterfully lit the challenging indoor cubicle scenes and outdoor forest scenes, despite the ever changing light, clouds and dramatic color temperature differences. The sound department comprised of Buck White and Jesse Ballingrud; both of which did an excellent job on the set. AD Ben Fields deserves a big thank you for keeping things on time and UPM Marguerite Elmore did a great job of juggling the very crazy schedules of the cast. AC Zab and Script Supervisor Aaron were also on the set and contributed a great deal of time and energy to keeping it real.
The film is moving forward in Post-Production and has an expected date of release by mid-fall.
I had the awesome privilage to play The Cubicle's lead, Cliff. Opposite me, Wofford Lee Jones carried the role of Jack--buttoned down, white collar and all-American. Wofford does an excellent job, as is evident in his stream of work, and I am very lucky to have worked with him.
The photos provided from the set are from Wofford Jones. Check out his other work when you get a chance!
